Default Restoring Stock Height on 89 CRX HF W/B16

After my B16 swap I have been noticing that my front end has been sagging. Kinda looks like I have a rear wheel drive race car with a lifted rear end. I took it the the tire shop (Discount Tire) the other day to get the wheels rotated and balanced. They said that at this time it would be pointless to rotate the front tires because the camber is off and the inside of the tires are starting to wear quite a bit.

The car is now pulling to the left. Not terribly, but I am sure sooner or later something needs to be done. The guy at Discount said that I probably needed an alignment and I agreed. I knew that it would need that sooner or later. However, besides doing that I also want to get new shocks/struts and springs. I don't want to lower the car anymore than it already is. I would actually like to bring it back to stock height. I don't want to go around speed bumps if I don't have to.

I am still running the 13" stock steelies that came with the HF. Eventually I will be getting some 15" wheels and tires and would consider lowering it a little at that point but for now I just want a better ride. The front jumps a little on some of the roads here and it's kinda embarassing. It's hilarious when I see a car going down the road and it just jumps everywhere cause they cut their springs. Well, I have the stock springs and shocks/struts. Nothing cut and it still bounces.

What do you guys think? I have been considering a brand new stock set (4) of CRX SI springs and a Set of Tokiko Shocks. I see that the Tokiko usually come in a set with the Shocks and Springs. Can I use Tokiko Shocks and stock SI Springs?

I appreciate any help or any ideas you guys might have.

The heavier motor will cause the lower ride height weather the springs are old or new. Stock springs are pretty soft leaving them very vulnerable to weight change. I would suggest some stiff lowering springs (like eibach) that only change the ride height about 1.5". That difference is barley noticeable, and will make the car feel more solid.

Adding new shocks will help with the bounce problem. If coupled with stiffer springs, their damping may be inadequate for your tastes. This will require slightly stiffer shocks, so take that into consideration too...

Also, try looking on ebay (or wherever) for some JDM CRX Sir springs that somebody is selling. They are designed to support the B16...

1.5 inches isn't that much and I am seriously considering that option. The SIR springs I thought about for the last couple of months but as an avid Ebay searcher, I have not seen any on there yet. I may just have to order them from an importer or the like. I mainly don't want anything used. You never know where it's been and how hard it's been beat.

Anyone else have any input?

Get some Ground Controls. Call them and tell them what you're looking for and they can help you pick the spring rate. You'll be able to keep it basically at the stock height and then lower it when you want to without buying something else. Paired with some good shocks (honestly depends on the spring rates you want to run) and she'll be as good as / better than new.
