just like the title.. trying to take the suspension off a 96 EK.. the rear suspension is stuck in the bushings and cannot take the bolt off..

any tips on how to take it off?

 

well it happens just to about every person, ive dropped over 15 civic and tegs, happens almost everytime, what i do it press the out with a vice clamp and either the bolt snapped or i cut it off to get the shock off and then i heat the bushing up in a bench vice witha torch, just a fine line dont heat the whole thing, then i just hammer it out with a punch, but if all that isnt avail. to you id go to your local honda dealer and just piuck up a new bushing for a couple bucks

 

What I had to do was cut the bolt on the lca. Just took a hacksaw and cut it on either side of where the shock bolt to the lca. Then have the new bushing pushed in and your good.
