Temperature sender and sensor problem

Default Temperature sender and sensor problem

Okay, my radiator fan and my temp. guage isnt working, in the haynes manual it says to ceck the wires for shortages . . . how do i do this? the coolant temperature sender has only one wire and the manual says to ground it, how do i do that and how would i check that wire, and the wires from the coolant temperature sensor for shortages . . . .?

You should have 2 sensors. One that goes where the upper rad. hose meets the engine, or it could also be on the side of the head depending on your motor. That one tells you when your car is heating up or engine temp. That is a 2 wire pin

Next is your fan switch. If you follow your lower rad. hose you will see another opening connected to a tube in the back of your motor. On that is another plug, which tells your fan to turn on. That as well is a 2 wire pin plug.

If your fan doesnt turn on as well i believe you just blown a fuse. Check all your fuses and see which is blown before you do wiring since it seems like you have NO clue about electrical.

Ive checked all my fuses, so how wouldi g o about cheking wires and the actual sender & sensor them selfs? by the way, its a 1992 civic hatch DX with the factory d15
