Bottoming out on small animals
I've had my 96 civic ex for about 3 months now. The last owner claimed to have skunk2 coilovers on it. I keep forgetting to look and check but anyways. I bottom out over everything. Little bumps on bridges, little bumps when they repave the road, and any form of irreguality in pavement. The car is lowered about 1.5-2 inches on them.
Here's the question is this just normal skunk2 on a civic and i need to man up and take it? Or is something screwed up and i need to replace. Im just wondering if this is normal i guess.

lower the car a bit more for optimal handling, 2.5-3 inches would be best for handling on a Civic. Don't owrry about the bottoming out, the roads are just bad, once you get on a track you'll be flying.
I have Skunk2's and lowered about 3 inches. I don't bottom out on anything...
Something is wrong with your setup, you shocks are probably blown and need replacing.

What? 3" on a civic equals no suspension travel without doing something to correct it (i.e. extended top hats, adjusting fork to hold shock lower, etc.).
What exactly do you mean bottoming out? Is the car hitting the road or is the suspension bottoming out? If it's the car, you're either lowered more than 2.5", you have a body kit/lip, or something else is too low on the car (header/exhaust). If it's the suspension then you're probably riding on blown struts as well as possibly having the car too low. May have full length bumpstops on it as well which can contribute but is better than no bump stop.

maybe u are bottoming out on your bumpstop. maybe they did not cut it at all.. , also if they are stock shocks, its prob most likely they are worn or blown or close to being blown, Time to invest in some aftermarket shocks.
