RSX ---SIDE AIR BAG'S OFF..HOW DO U TURN THEM BACK ON
2003 rsx...car was running and i was in the passenger seat...i though the glove box was a bit loose..so i was messing around with it....i pushed this button in the glove box thinking it was for the glove box light switch ....all of the sudden the side air bag's off light came on...anyone know's how to turn it back on...

maybe it was because you were in the passenger seat leaning around or something... have you been in your drivers seat w/o a passenger yet?
try that, and if it's still on, then, well, i don't know...

the side airbag off light turns on when the OPDS sensor detects that an object in in the deployment path of the side airbag. typically this is the passenger leaning on the door. if the side airbag were to deploy in this situation, the arm would sustain injury. so the side airbag turns off

read the owners manual...
it to prevent the side airbag from deploying into a passensgers back if they are
ever leaning over. There are 2 sensors, 1 in the bottom of the seat and 1 in the back of the seat. when you leaned foward to play with the glove compartment,
the sensor thought that you might have been leaning over. if the "side airbag off" light in the dash is off then it your ok and the side airbag is working again. Just
remember any light that comes on in the dash, refer to your owners manual. It
goes through every thing. It what I teel ALL my customers.
