They dont look like they weigh that much since they are pretty hollow is this true ?

 

they're fairly heavy, i've never weighed mine tho.

 

They are definately heavier than my USDM ITR 15" or my 17" Volks, the JDM 16s are my heaviest rim (other than the Prelude 16s I happen to have as well )

 

thats weird i picked up both and the 15" felt heavier hmmm.... i wonder if it is because it is 16x7 ? what makes it so friggin heavy!

 

I too find this strange. I suppose you can't argue that manufacturers design things best anymore huh?!

They are over 7kg each as stated in my Hper-Rev magazine.

Its larger in diameter and width by an inch each respectively; I dont see how this shocks you all that it weights more than the stock cast aluminum 15.6 lb wheels.

 

It is true that they weigh that much. Hell my stock R wheels weighed in at 8.8kg (19.36lbs). You have to remember, they are cast aluminum and not forged and also they are OEM, so they are supposed to last and last a long time.

 

i heard dropping them from a foot someone shattered a spoke lol
