HOWTO: DIY CEL Jumper Wire/Harness
This is my first write up so please give me some credit for trying
keep the flames to yourself 'cuz i don't see you doing anything different.
So, I'm at home looking at my cluster with this annoying CEL i go ahead
and use the old method of jumping it with paper clips....
damn couldn't find any.. thought about it for awhile wtf am i gonna do if i don't
have any paper clips around? here's my answer...
tools and other misc items you'll need
set of molex connectors (these can be bought at any pc store)
solder iron
solder
heat shrinks
heat gun
scissors
cig lighter (i'll explain)

1. cut molex connectors and remove extra wires like so...
note: I used the cig ligher to strip the wires, i like using this method
because it prevents me from cutting extra wires..

2. solder wires togther and shrink wrap

note: one of the connectors will be either male or female
pick which ever you like best
3. now cut the old connector and solder in th new ones

4. shrink wrap and you're done

now test it and hook up your new jumper wire/harness
whatever you wanna call it, and your set
hope this helps someone out there

First off - good write up. Glad to see people taking initiative.
However, if you find yourself out of paperclips, is it really cost effective to go your route than to just buy some more paperclips??
