i have a 89 civic hatch dx and i bought it over a year and a half ago i just started working on it the kid i got it from said it just died on him on moring so i replaced the cap and rotor but its not getting any spark i rember hearng that the dizzys are **** on this motors can any one help me thanks
and were can i get some ef si seats ive been looking every were

you have to have three things ok
you have to have fire
you have to have fuel
you have to have timeing
if you dont it will not work
you just have to look and see you can changs the plugs and wieres to
have you tryed this ?

thanks i know it has fuel and timing im not getting spark but i rember people telling me that the dizzy take a **** on these motors its a dx with 215.xxx miles on it has any one ever heard about that

 

generally, timing is considered part of fire and the three things you need are fuel, spark, and compression. ive never really heard of the distributor being ****, but id check everything else first. get out you ohm meter and start checking resistances in all the components of the ignition, including the coil and plug wires. good luck, and i have Si seats in pretty good condition just sitting around if you are interested in waiting like 2 weeks for me to get home from college. im an hour or 2 away from you in quakertown, pa.

 

yea one of my friends are coming over tonight to check it out hes alot better at this car thing than i am

it was the coil went up to pep boys anf get one for like 75 and it started right up like it never missed day and it hasnt been started up in over a year and a half

 

how do i know what code its giveing me its one long flash and 16 short ones

 

search for ECU codes. Theres a FAQ on them.
