Why does it smell like roasting clutch?
becuase your burning your clutch. NOPE. i'm a pretty good driver, so i'm not roasting my clutch, not leaving my foot on it as i drive, and/or anything else you can blame on me.
So why the heck does it smell like my clutch is burning whenever i get out of my car. Someone mentioned that it was probably my tranny fluid. didnt make sense to me, but i changed it anyway *was due*, smell is still there. its really annoying, and it gets worse the warmer outside it gets. now the girlies dont like this smell, hell i dont like this smell.

the same thing happened to my uncles car. After he took out the clutch he noticed a nest of mice. Apparently they cralled up the tailpipe in the winter months and made a nice litte family which is now dead. I don't know if your car was sitting for some period of time, but it wouldn't hurt to take out ur clutch and just have a little look inside there.
wierd. it def wouldnt be the tranny fluid.. that doesnt really have anything to do with the clutch. maybe it could have something to do with your hydraulic system (master/slave cylinder). you could also need to adjust your clutch pedal. it has to do with how your clutch is engaged and disengaged and as far as i can think that only leaves your hydraulic system and clutch pedal. i'm not really sure tho, just throwing ideas out there. good luck man.

Are your brakes dragging at all? Depending on what pads your using, the 'friction material' burning smell could be very similar to clutch.

You resurface the flywheel when installing a clutch, not the friction plate.
