Default obd1 1.6L sohc non-vtec ecu

I want to swap a obd2a d16 non-vtec motor into a 5th gen Si. Is there an obd1 d16 non-vtec ecu that would work to control a non-vtec motor? Would it be a P06?

There was no non-VTEC 1.6 liter D-series sold in the US. And when it comes to international sales, the only 1.6 non-VTEC I know of is the rather rare 1992+ DOHC ZC.

no theres a few non-VTECH motors out there you just have to look for them... theres one ive seen around my town is a guy running a 96' hatch with a D16Y7 with a turbo... but hes got that car basicly into a racer.... so... a true race car would probly produce more power w/o VTECH then with it... since you would be running extrem cams and all and plus all that boost...

Thats what I'm running right now...

...I just want to take out of my 96 EK and put it in my 93 EG Si and the motor is a 00 y7. But I've figured it out already. I need the P06 ecu, like I thought I did.

Another question regarding this.

If the P06 is for a 1.5L non-vtec motor. Will the ECU provide enough fuel with the stock ECU and y7 (being 100cc motor) with a y8 intake manifold and free flowing exhaust? I plan on putting a fuel controller on it to adjust the fuel for when I turbo the car again.

OBD1-OBD2a jumper harness 1) doesn't exist or hard to find, if it does. 2) would throw random codes for random emissons CELs that aren't wired in the OBD1 harness 3) it would but just whole lot easier to have an OBD1 ecu in an OBD1 car with and OBD1 harness so no jumpers are needed and its just a plug and your done deal.

I should be by.

FALSE..I sell this harness
check out my ecu/jumper site link in sig

The only downside to using this harness is that you'll have to manually wire in the CKF & 2nd 02 sensors in order to please a US OBD2 CX/DX ecu. You won't get random cel lights for smog crap, only the CKF & 2nd 02 if you dont wire them in.

But you are right, it would be way easy to stay OBD1. A P06 ecu should work fine on a D16Y7 engine though, if anything, the P06 can be reprogrammed with a more enrichened fuel map or mimick a P28 fuel map.
