30-1st E-Town RAIN???
i was looking at weather.com and it shows that there is gonna be thunderstorms on saturday and sunday. anyone have info to back this up. i dont want to drive from CT to be rained out
1st off every race ive went to at Etown for the last 7 or 8 years has said rain.
It doesnt rain all the time, or doesnt stay raining.
I say play it by ear. Thats what i do. Check it the day before and see. If its raining in the morning when Im ready to leave, i usually just jump back in bed and go to sleep.

I wouldn't sweat it. I never bother lookign at the weather until a day or 2 before. Besides, we were supposed to get rained out this past weekend in Virginia and it spritzed a few times.

Honestly, weather.com has not always been accurate. At least from what i have seen. They are usually a bit off when you look a few days in advance. I would keep checking during the end of the week.

Everytime I've been to etown they're calling for rain, you get there and it looks like any second it'll start pouring....and not a single drop comes down...and then the sun comes out! Plus the weather men are like 50% accurate....unless it says 80% chance of rain the day, before I wouldn't sweat it.
Don't say that word yet. I am busting my *** finally swapping a new bottom end into the GTi so i can run mid to low 11's this weekend for the quick 16 class. This 200,000+ mile engine just isn't cutting it anymore.

last year at this event i belive it poured saturday after qualifying into sunday morning. but after a couple cleanups the event went on without a hitch and the sun was shining by the afternoon. just play it by ear.

OK, so we can still race during a thunder storm, cool. Okay, what's the
differance between "partly sunny" and "partly cloudy".
Just saw another weather report, this one says no rain Sat and chance of rain
late Sunday.
I think the bottom line is just show up and hope for sun!

I belive thunder storms are the worse end of the thunder showers, kind of like when they show you showers, then the next day they show you rain, rain is worse than showers, therfore thunder storms are worse than thunder showers. But they have no idea what they are talking about anyway. If it is raining on sat when you get there then i would have to say it is going to rain on sat
same goes for sunday. Thats the way i forecast my weather

Try the National Weather Service website instead. It's where all the other internet weather sites steal their forecasts from anyway.
