13b in a crx
i know most of you guys probly think im a dumbass for asking but is it possible. i recently receieved the 13b for free from a friend cause he is going to do a j spec turbo 13b and i always wanted a rwd crx and yesterday i pulled my engine out and was trying to make it fit and it does if i make some mod for the tranny to fit i was just wondering what wire harness and axle could i use to make it work ill have pic up soon so you guys dont think this thread is bs thanks and im talking about rx7 na engine 13b
Wasn't there a post a while back with some disgusting lime green hatchback with a rotary in it? I can't remember if it was a 13b or not. But with money anything is possible.
I say use a small for solid rear out of a 95ish V6. Fabing up and IRS would be very difficult. For the tranny. Cut and redo a tunnel, its really the only way. I would also go with a Weber side draft carb and forget about fuel injection.
This should make for an interesting swap.

And what i remember is that the lime green civic was still FWD. Engine was horizontally fitted. And what i remember also is that the engine used was B12.
Dont know bout the RWD, but FWD rotary would be funny. Not my choise nevertheless.

If I am able to make the car run ill be extremely happy and was going to do something else that i haven't really since instead of webers i want to do a dual turbo setup on the NA 13b engine thats if i can make it run and thanks for the info

If you're asking us for advice, then don't try it. Chances are you don't have the fabrication skills to pull it off. No offense.
Sell the engine, buy something that will bolt in to the honda.

You'd probably be better off to sell the CRX and use a 4wd Civic wagon or CRV chassis, and go for an AWD rotary. That way your biggest obstacle would be fitting the D16/B18 tranny onto the 13B. An adapter plate would be much easier than a custom RWD fabrication.
You'll need a 13B engine harness and ECU. There's no way a Civic ECU will run a rotary.
I also have to question this project if you have to ask about the wiring harness.

I agree with the above. The fact you are asking such broad questions is proof enough that you probably shouldn't attempt this project. Not to mention I hate working on rotary engines.
