injectors?
How do you know when you need new injectors? I swapped a d16y7 in place of my old d15b8. The old injectors had about 150000 on them. I swapped in a AEM rail, FPR, and a BBK fuel pump, too. It has a hard time starting, idles rough and fluctuates, poor acceleration, and no matter what the FPR is set at, the plugs(Denso iridium) are still a little lean. Need help? I estimate that I should have about 160 hp with these and the other bolt-ons.
If you replaced all of those other fuel components, then you should definitely change the injectors too....It could be a bunch of things though like tune-ups, plugs, cap-n-rotor, etc...
Try replacing with newer injectors.. I estimate your HP at 117 with those mods.
also, your iacv might need to be screwed in and if you are properly setting your fuel pressure, you need to keep it near stock wide open throttle values. I am assuming you probably have intake/header/exhaust.

Fixed the problem. I needed to install the bigger gold orifice that came with the AEM FPR. I was getting to much back pressure in the fuel system whenever I installed the fuel pump. The other problem that I had was the ecu. It's fried. I put another one in and it started up and runs great. Feels like I got a crap load back, especially torque. I also had to replace the injectors. The surge was apparently tooo much for those old injectors and they just couldn't take it anymore. The pressure was so much that to strainers in the top of the injectors tore and collapsed in on all four of them. Thanks guys.
