GSR brakes on an EK hatch............
Hey, I know this topic has been covered before but I searched and my questions weren't answered about my specific swap..........
I have access to 2001 integra gsr front, rear brakes, 1" mc and booster: does anyone know if these parts will bolt up directly to my 00 dx hatch? Do 01 integra gsr's have abs? I know that eg's and dc's have the same lca setup and are different from ek's so does it bolt up right?
I know I need 99-00 si e-brake cables and brake lines also. I hear that ITR mc and brake boosters bolt right up to EK's with no problems, so what about 01 gsr's?
If anyone knows about this then can you help? I just want to know if it's worth paying 300-400 for something that might not work......... thanks.

You still need ex/em1/integra front knuckles.
If you have an abs mc you will need abs fittings. You will probably have to bend some hard lines, depending on where the outs are on the mc...its not hard (get a tool/spring).
The ek lca's are fine....the reason they fit is because they do...dont ask silly questions
You can use integra cables on a hatch.
All rear disc hoses are the same...get em1 ones if you want, but its not necessary.
That cover it? (searching a tiny bit harder would have answered these though)
Oh, and gsr brakes arent anything special. All integra brakes are the same (minus itr), so please refer to them as "integra brakes" in the future

Thats some good info, thanks pdiggity.
Ok I've been searching for about 2 hours since I posted this topic and here's some info i came up with that has been contradicted a million times in different threads so i don't know which is true:
1. em1 proportioning valve has the same part # as dx one so it's the same? I have heard other people say that they are different.........
2. You need to use brake lines according to what calipers you have? People have said that integra rear calipers don't have the same fittings as the em1 ones.........
Can anyone clear these up for me? Thanks in advance........

1) part #s are the same, prop is the same
2) ALL rear disc parts are identical...whoever says em1 is different than integra should be kicked in the shins. Like I said, you use rear disc hoses...nothing special.

You cleared that up.
EM1's have abs don't they? That would mean that their mc and booster wouldn't be bolt on, I'd have to bend the hardlines and get new fittings right?
Damn it, if em1 mc and booster doesn't bolt on then what does? Sorry I'm a n00b when it comes to brakes.........

The em1 has an abs prop and a non-abs prop...Ive never seen an abs equipped em1 though.
Besides, the em1 mc/bb isnt that great...I had one.
You can use the civic booster if you use an 91 civic ex 4door 15/16" mc (part # 4100-sh4-a11) OR swap in the integra RS mc/bb, which apparently is straight bolt on
But new fittings and line bend is EASY so dont worry about that when it comes down to it.
(if you hadnt noticed, I havent got a lot to do today)

What do you mean? How could it come with either of those if it wasn't equipped with abs from the factory?
Thanks for the info so far, you are truly pimpin...........

Good question. Dont ask me why it has 2 props.
Just be on the assumption, that whatever em1 mc you find, its going to be non-abs. That makes it easier (because like I said, Ive never even seen one that has it)
ABS isnt that hard to install from the factory --- ie: The civic ex-a was an abs equipped coupe - which was an option from the dealer. Buyers choice.
