90 crx starting problems
i need help ...when my car sits overnight, and i go to start it up in the morning, after i turn the key it takes about 6-8 seconds to start up...and when it does, its a hard start that doesn't give me a good feeling...but after that first start, the rest of the day it starts up fine...just after 5 hours or more of just sitting, it goes back to hard starting the first time, then its fine after that...is my starter going out? solenoid? do i need a new relay?...
any help is greatly appreciated..

I'll bet tweny bucks you have leaking fuel injectors... when the car sits, the injectors are leaking, flooding the motor... so you have to crank it for a bit in the mornings, etc.... got a fuel pressure gauge?

when was the last time you replaced your battery? it sounds to me like your battery is having a hard time holding a charge. when the car is running, it charges the battery. when it sits, if the battery is bad, it will drain. i would go get your battery tested. start with that.
ALSO - does the car turn over? do you smell fuel? or is there nothing happening when you turn the key?

When you turn the key, is the engine slow to crank or does it crank and just not fire up? If it's slow to crank you probably need a new battery. If it cranks and does not start, I would suggest a mild tune up. Plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor button, and fuel filter.
