tein hood dampers?
Did I read that right? You want to use these to replace hood pins? Don't do it. There are only meant to hold the hood up while it's open. That's it. If you've seen a hatchback car you've probably seen the same type of thing on the rear hatch.
It is your car, your money, do what you want.
They have been out for a while now. I have not heard anything bad about them. I wouldn't replace them for hood pins though.

I think those would kick a lot of *** in the trunk insted of under the hood. I dont know about you guys but those crazy bars that hold the trunk open **** me off and rattle when the bass hits. If you could custom mount those to lift the trunk lid i think it would be nice
I really like the idea of that. I thought of that a while ago when I saw them on a 5th gen v6 accord at the junk yard, I think I will just get the from that and fab them up

i took those bars out because my speakers wouldnt fit, now the thing is so heavy to hold up when i take stuff out my trunk. its like 30-40lbs... i might get it and fab them.

SoHiGH, on a side note, you do realize that if you use the stock speaker cups, any 6.5" speaker will fit in the rear deck then you dont have to remove the torsion bars...
i'd love a set of these on my bonnet..

sweet- let us know how that works out.
i think i could fit another 2 or 3 clubbed baby seals in there without the bars lol, i spose the trunk would be kinda heavy tho.

any speakers....? Infinity Kappas wont....trust me, but Alpine Type S, 3-ways....are beautiful.
NEways, back on topic, for the shocks in the trunk on a 4th gen. Could you not attach one ent to the elbow bracket for the trunk, and the other end somewher on the shock tower...pushing that bracket towards the rear and up?
