b16a w/AC in an 88crx si
Well this is one of my few post on HT ive been around for awhile but most questions i have are solved with the search function...thanks guys for all the help you give...... but ive come to a hult. ... heres my question.......I have a 88 crx si with a b16a swap it came with ac and from the looks of it its in good shape. My question is will it work in my 88 crx si. What will i need to do this? Will the si ac lines work on the b16a compressor, will i need to buy the hasport ac bracket for it to fit? ANY info on this would be GREATLY appreciated, ive searched honda tech and AF but theres not a whole lot on this topic.....
Thanks
Thanks
i'm not sure, not thinking the clearest tonight, but i think the hasport thing allows you to use your old compressor, or you could have custom fittings to connect your current lines to your b series compressor, or you could get the b series lines out of a front clip. any problems with my info? let me know.
I have an 89 Civic Hatch with a 91 SiR driveline thats been modified fairly heavily....I have the Haasport bracket to mount the STOCK A/C compressor to the B16...........fits and works perfectly.
The lines are different from the jdm crx and the US. I'd say just buy the hasport bracket and all the guessing is done. I did it and my a/c blows ice cold.
