I'm planning on getting an Akrapovic. Just trying to decide on if I want a slip on or a full system.

I have yet to hear a better sounding pipe and I think everyone can agree that their quality is among the best. Like most everything in life you get what you pay for with exhausts.

My friend had the full ti evo system on his '01 r6, it sounded really good. Also is it true that like rossi's termignoni is just an akrapovic with a termignoni sticker? Thats what I heard.

I would say that is just a rumor. Go to Termignoni's website and take a look around. They have been around a while and are TOP NOTCH quality. I would easily put them up there with Akropovic for quality.

Who knows for sure. I've heard similar rumors of the Jardine's that were put on the AMA Honda sponcers were Akrapovic with Jardine stickers on them. Who knows?

I know Erion Racing has used Akropovic headers over theirs, mated with their slip-on's on some of their old 900rr and 929rr race bikes.

Unfortunately I've only heard Termignoni's on Italian bikes, but they have quite a list of exhausts for the Japanese crowd too and I'm sure they would sound equally impressive.

My friend has an '02 R6 with the Akropovic Evo Ti full system and my buddy has an R1 with a Graves full Ti system. I would go for Ak or Graves on the Yamaha's as I have liked them better then any other exhausts I've heard on the Yami's.

I like the Termignoni slip on for the '03-'04's. Haven't heard the Akrapovic on an R6 yet. My Yoshi full system is aight but too much popping when I decelerate. I think I need to do that thing on the intake system.

BTW, I'd recommend the full system czu it saves even more weight.

I was thinking about the termi for my bike but I've moved more towards the akra because I think the sound is a little bit crisp/tighter. I've also seen some great numbers out of the akra pipe and love they they work well on every bike.

Ivan from Ivan's jet kits has his shop about 10 minutes from me and he loves to use the akra pipes. That was a big reason for me to choose them because my 05 R6 really needs some FI tuning and he is one of the best at smoothing out a bike.

I had a Micron (fade black to blue) slipon on my '01 R6 and absolutely loved it.

High mounts are the only good looking muffler on R1/R6, so whatever you decide, make sure its a high mount!
