quick question about my engine options
well im sitting on here trying to gather as much information as i could and something just popped into my head, i have a 94 ls im reading about the ls/vtec conversions and was just wondering if i would need a head off of something obd1 as well or does it not matter? i only have a vague understanding of what the obd **** is all about so im just trying to learn
using an obd1 b16 head will save you a lot of troubles.
But if you use an obd2 head all you would really need to do is get an obd1 distributor and obd1 injectors.
But just slapping a vtec head on a LS block will not yeild very good gains. I suggest you research lsvtec's a little more. I would at least use a vtec water pump (22T), ARP rod bolts, and p30/pr3 (b16) or p73 (itr) pistons to get the compression up.
