price range
my brother is looking into buying a Type R this summer and we're just about to start searching for a good deal on a stock type r. Whats a good price to look for and how much did you guys pay for yours? thanks for the help
It really just depends on year, and mileage. I got my 01 stock with 52k for 17,900. You can find others for probably cheaper. Just be patient and keep your eyes open on these forums. R's are sold pretty frequently here. Make sure you layer on the security and if possible park it in a garage. Keep us updated
Search the classifieds for ITRs to get an idea of what people are asking.
Here's an example, you won't find good buys like this everywhere though..

Too bad this guy won't even sell the car. I offered him more than he is asking and he still won't sell it to me.
You shouldn't have a problem finding a R for that price and with under 50k miles. The places I check everyday is autotrader.com, h-t, cars.com and itrca.com. Good luck.
