need info on 4G Civic Si header/intake upgrade compatability with stock ECU
help!
I have just purchased a K&N Typhoon intake and Holley Airmass 4-2-1 (2 piece) ceramic coated header for my 1991 Civic Si (5spd). I am keeping the rest of the exhaust stock (for now), and the rest of the vehicle is straight out of the box. My question regards the ability of the stock ECU to handle the increased airflow that my upgrades will provide. After reading the Honda & Acura Performance Handbook (Mike Ancas), I am not sure wether any mods will be needed.
any advice in this matter would be most appreciated

you'll be fine....90% of the people on here have more mods w/ the stock ecu and there's no problem. it'll 'learn' and calibrate itself for the increased airflow....
you should be more then okay, for light duty upgrades a FPR will take care of most problems.
but if you must or want to you can rechip your ecu, to different specs

Yep your fine the Stock Ecu can adjust for small changes for 'MOST" bolt ons...but not all ...you'll be fine..
