hey guys my vtec is kicking in and out and i need help to figure this out? it is a wire in my ecu but i do not know which one it is or how to find it. i need a wiring diagram but cant find one on the internet. please help. if you wiggle the wires it kicks on.

vtec engages at a certain RPM, its not on all the time

 

ok let me make this more clearer for those who have stupid remarks.... after the vtec kicks in it kicks back off and back on again and so on. there is something wrong with the wires and i cant figure it out. my vtec kicks in normally at 4800 and now sometimes it doesnt even come on at all. which then makes my red line at 7200 with out vtec with vtec 8000

 

obviously you have a loose connection somewhere... ill try to find the diagram, i think i have it saved

there was no stupid remark, no need to be a jerk. all you had to do was be a little clearer in your post and you wouldnt have gotten that comment from me. being that it was your first post here, i thought you just didnt understand completely. you wouldnt be the first one i'm sure.

 

could be due to your gauge cluster.


my buddy put a gsr in his crx....his cluster was off so vtec kicked out early and didnt even kick in ...in a certian gear.....got a vafc and it was fine
