LS/vtec......green plug help

i have an ls/vtec crx. what sensor is the green thing? is it the vtec oil pressure sensor? and do i wire it to my vafc first, then the ecu, or the ecu first then the vafc?
i am getting codes 21/23. one is the KS[knock sensor] and the other is the vtec oil pressure sensor if im not mistaken.
here are the pics of the green thing i am talking about:

all help is greatly appreciated, as i am a broke college student.
tia!

code 23 is knock sensor, code 21 is the vtec oil pressure, not sure if you wire it to your vafc or not, i dont think i did when i had my vefc, but that was years ago
How are you dealing with the knock sensor problem? If you got the car with the lsvtec setup in it, does it have a knock sensor at all? If you did it, I heard you can just ground the sensor to sim a reading. Anyone feel free to add to this.
Yeah man, LS/VTEC blocks b18a/b don't have knock sensors...however the ecu you are using is more than liking looking for a knock sensor. The green plug is a coolant fan switch or some chit like that, it is NOT knock sensor.

Better double check your info man. I dunno if that's right, not saying I am, but I'm about 95% sure.

I am pretty sure that is teh vtec solenoid switch, one is a ground and one goes to a4, that is if you have a p28
i send you a pm, i dropped a valve

ok, i am 100% sure that is the vtec oil pressure switch... as for connecting it to the vafc, you should first connect it to the ecu. from that wire, extend to the vafc.

no sir, the sensor in the original poster's pics is located by the vtec solenoid assembly.

yes the sensor i am talking about is on the vtec solenoid.
the knock sensor problem...i might chip my pw0 to avoid the KS.
code 21 is the vtec oil pressure sensor that isnt wired up. what does the plug look like that plugs into that sensor?
and i wire it to the ECU THEN VAFC right? and now...what pin on the ecu? [pw0]

this is horrible!! :

Ahhhhh!!!!
So the green plug in the pick I posted is the fan temp switch correct?

gatta get one or ghetto rig it. If you buy a zdyne chip you can get away with 1 wire vtec http://www.zdyne.com

A customer went that route, well lets just say he ended up filing a lawsuit because the zydne ecu did not work and they did not want to give him his money back.
You can rip the plug from any car that has a vtec oil pressure switch. Some cars have vtec but will not have the oil pressure switch on them.
To make things a little easier on you ( since around here, finding a car in the junkyard with vtec is not the easiest thing ) look at the coolant temp switch on the head, right around that area. That plug should actually plug onto the green plug. Since all cars have a coolant temp swtich, it will be a lot easier finding that plug

The grean plug is vtec oil pressure switch.
For the knock sensor, on the back of block there is provision for a knock sensor. It needs to by drilled and tapped. Or you can get the ecu chipped.
