B-Series Swap Questions?
Will a OBD-1 conversion on a 90 CRX HF recognize a crank shaft speed sensor?
Reason is the B18b motor that I am swaping in is out of a 96 Teg.
Also I have a 88 CRX Harness is it possible to use this harness instead of the HF Harness.
Any information will be appreciated.

your obd2 engine will just have the crank sensor unplugged, the obd1 ecu dosent look for it.
Use the harness that came with the car, and modify that, dont try a 88 harness on a non 88 car, it has differences...

First rule of engine swapping is to use the harness that came in the car if at all possible. If you plan to run obd1 or obd0 you won't need the crank sensor. I have a 95 b18b in my 90 hf and it is running obd0 with the 90 distributor, ecu and injectors. The 88 and 89 (i think) electrics are slightly different than the 90-91. I know for sure that the si and hf harness are pinned differently where they plug in by the fuse box. The plugs will interchange but the wires are in different locations.
My answer (short form) in no, obd1 does not need the crank sensor.

Am I going the right way in using a OBD 1 Intake Manifold or can I use any Intake Manifold. I currently have all OBD Model Intake Manifolds and Dizzys. Since it's been awhile I've updated my information, on what to do what do ya'll think is the best choice to go with. By the way I have the OBD 0 to OBD 1 Jumper Harness also. Also what ECU setup would ya'll go with I have a PR4 being OBD 0 and a P75 Ecu . I pretty much have everything for the swap. Let me know what ya'll think. THanks
