What would cause this? front balancer shaft oil seal popped out
I have a 00 turbo prelude and I was running 8psi on an sc-61. I was workin on my car one night and I accidentaly plumbed my oil catch can wrong. (2 valves in catch can, plugged both into my valve cover). Well anyways I went out and blasted up to the top of 4th gear. Drove back home and leaked oil all the way into my garage until all the oil dropped from the motor to my garage floor. The oil came from the cover so I was'nt sure. I'm still unsure if the way I plumbed my catch can is what caused this. Well i finaly got the cover off and this is what I find. Any idea's as to why this would happen? or things you guys think I should replace while Im in here? Here is my current list of parts. You guys think I should look further or anything just let me know. Thanks! Oh and here are some pictures also because pic's make everything better.
Seals for covers
H23 Manual tensioner swap
timing belt
obviously the seal that popped out.

Excessive crankcase pressure can definetly cause seals to blow out. Route the catch can properly if you havent already and replace that seal dont just push it back in. While you're there check if any of the other seals are leaking for ready to fall out and replace them as necessary.

Any idea's for checking the other seals? I cannot think of anything without starting the motor up.

Yea, it was probably going to come out on it's own anyway.

There was a recall about the balancer shaft seals on the Accords/Preludes. Theres a bracket that they sell for the H22 at the Honda dealership for about $2.00. Best $2.00 ever invested.
