well today i was at target and was gonna get a set of wrenches for 10 bucks then i look down.. and see a 101 peice tool set for only 19.99!! and it's durabuilt too which is a good brand i suppose. so anyways take it home like a kid with a new toy and this is the review. the hex keys were greased up as hell(excessively) i guess to slip it into the hole, and they were bent pretty damn poorly. one of the crv bit things on the upper right of picture didnt fit into the slot so it kinda sticks up. the socket wrench needs to be lubed and the extension when put on is kinda loose. basically i got what i paid for, what do you guys think?

good: price, almost everything I need
bad: poorly made box, greasy tools, socket wrench bits are kinda loose, hard to take tools in and out of box

well it was only $20 atlesat u can work on ur 10 speed bicycle now :-P but to get the tools out esier just use the screw drive to lift them out

 

You get what you pay for, I normally go for Craftsman only because its the easiest to replace when you break one, Snapon is a better tool im sure, but when it breaks what do you do? If you dont work in a shop that has a truck that stops in a weakly basis your kinda sol, with the craftsman you goto the store and get a new one.

 

You really do get what you pay for. I bought one of those sets and the tools would break easily.

 

OMG I couldn't handle bad tools. **** that.

I use ACE tools. Only because I work at Ace, so if they break I can just return them as defective.

They have worked great so far.

 

i stick to matco, craftsman, and snap-on, and I do have access to a truck that stops by my dads work everyweek.

Well, when you try to use the sockets on something tough and they split you'll know why the whole set was $20.
Its a good set for basic stuff, but for automotive you really need better tools.
Are they even metric??

 

its a nice set to leave in the trunk in case of an unexpected problem.. but for garage tools

just wate untill you are applying force to a bolt and the gear inside the ratchet breaks or a socket splits in half and your knuckels get broken when you hit them off the closest object on the car. craftsman are good but dont waste you time with the ratchets, when tight bolts come loose they have a habit of reversing them selfs and you break your knuckels. i like cornwell the best.

Wait till you use one of the ratches and it slips, then you skin your knuckles on somthing

 

I go with harbor freight tools. Good price and I've never had anything break on me.

screw snap on even tho they kick *** craftsman is waaay cheaper and has a lifetime warranty and snap is too expensive ...cheap and lifetime warranty who can beet that?

LOL... ACE tools suck so bad lol. I was using a screw driver i bought from there witha plastic grip, and i twisted ti so hard the pastic handle broke into two pieces. LOL wow the quality is so good.
