Hard to tell it worked?
Um this is a side by side comparison :

The before is on the left side, and the after is on the right.

Pretty obvious to me.

ummm you neglected to specify.
at quick first glance it almost seemed as if it was just the angle that made the right side of the pic look smooth.
pretty obvious... if you took the photo.

i would kill for "grade B" quality hood with shitty cut edges.
they were actually LIGHT, serving their true purpose.
now i can only find the thick overweight "grade a" hoods.
"grade a" would be great if having a pretty showcar was my first priority.

or can you just use the restorer then wax without sanding it???</TD></TR></TABLE>
some people have had decent success with just the marine wax.
you can try it without sanding and see how it turns out. worst case senario you waste a few dollars worth of high grade wax and your arm gets a little workout.

If I ever did get another one that **** would be paintmatched w/ the quickness. Good job though

thats funny, i loved my carbon fiber hood because it was so indestructable.
two seasons of snowboarding in the sierras, a couple long california road trips, and not one chip or imperfection from road wear at all. beat the hell out of any stock painted hood i've ever had after this sort of driving. the resin coating on a carbon fiber hood is way more durable than any paint on steel.
