my apexi n1 arrived in the mail today so i installed it this afternoon( by the way the system looks great)..anyway everyone told me that the exhaust was going to be really loud...i started up my car took it for a ride n to my surprise its very quite..its allot more quite than all my friends exhaust systems like the magnaflow and my other friends weld on ractive muffler... it did come with the silencer on tho does the silencer really quit this thing down that much i figured with the 2.25 inch piping and the big canister type muffler it would be louder ....ive heard about the muffler getting louder as it breaks in is this tru...all in all i dont mind it being quite keeps the neighbors happy and the cops away...sorry for the smi long post on something so simple pretty much all i want to know is if the silencer is takin off will it sound much louder..thanks

 

If you dont have the silencer on it will have a real loud sound to it, but i like it....But it will break in over time and sound louder, youll see.

I just got a Thrush Glasspack resonator for my N1 system and it made it much quiter than all my friends N1's and i love it, just a recomendation if you ever want it a bit quieter after the break in...

"once you stop smeeling the smells, its broken in" someone told me that once and its so true, you will smell like stuff birning after you rip on your car, that means its still in the process of breaking in.

N1 is quality, treat in nicely

 

mine is not loud at all...very deep tone...sounds great....i dont hear anything when i'm on the freeway...love the sound

 

yea i smell those burning smells just ideling prob cause i just put it on..yea i love the sound n the way it looks im kinda glad its quiet..but i also wanted make it a little louder if i felt the need.. what about the sliencer is it restrictive at all.

 

i now apexi uses a bigger res also, my firnd has the n1 quite in the car but from out side youd be surprised how noisy it really is

 

yea thats just the piping burning off ****...mine was like that too

 

i got a n1 too its pretty loud but nice tho..

 

yea its not noisy frome the outside at all(had a friend rev it) i find it comparible to the loudness of a 350z just witha totally different tone....i hear my engine over it at wot...
