Looking for a Hard compound Tire for street use
i'm looking for a hard compound tire for street use
it's for my buddies 93 civic coupe, he's running a tuned B18c2 running 12psi on his turbo setup, and he's having dificulty getting traction on the street
he's looking for a tire which he can either:
1. Jack up his car and put on at night, or before he goes out for the night so he can either roll to a spot, or just drive around without thrashing the rubber
2. OR jack up his car at the spot and put them on [he could even use slicks for this i guess]
buti would say most of all #1, a hard compound tire which can heat up easilly but he can also roll out and drive around on for street/highway driving

I'm lost man. Most folks want a soft compound tire that they can race on. if you're asking for a tire he can just drive around on, and possibly race with from time to time. try a set of BFG drag radials. hey are NOT hard though. But you can drive on them anytime, and race on them. if you're looking for a tire that he just drives on, andDOESN'T race on, then just grab a set of Kumho 711's.

hard compound and traction really dont go together..
bfg radials are great for street but will not last..
i've been hearing great things about bfg kdw's...they have like 300 tread wear and
AA traction...
im getting them this week, i'll let ya know

bf's are the way to go on the street other when the tread starts to get a bit low and it rains. have fun with that hehe
so how long would the life be on the BFG drag radials be say if u were putting them on once a week and maybe racing 3-5 times a night?
