ok so my car isnt running up to bar feels like a overall weaker power band when i did a a6/z6 mini me swap....of course i cant hear vtec but thats cause my resonator blew out and all i hear is ear blaring exhaust....anyways question is
what is teh differences between a VTEC-E head and a z6 head?

 

vtec-e works completely different, instead of opened the valves wider and longer.........the second intake valve is only partially open until "vtec" kicks in then it opens all the way.....

 

so this VTEC-E motor is weaker than a non E?

 

yea i knew that but i am saying on the exterior by just looking at it can i tell the differences? vtec-e head vs z6 head..

what is the engine code? they look about the same....

 

engine code? you mean block code? i have a mini me...so my bottom end is a a6..head should be a z6...it probally is...just need a confirmation

 

Between 2nd and 3rd runners on the exhaust mani the head code is stamped. Find that code, then find the z6 head code and compare... - Darrell

 

man i hate to be an *** but dont you guys read? i have a a6/z6 mini me in other words i have the a6 exhaust manifold...

 

i think he meant on the head itself between the 2nd and 3rd runners. theres codes on the head just find them and compare to other codes you find.
