will a d16y7 distributor work for my conversion obd0 to obd1 on my minime d16y8

i know there where be a wiring difference but is there a difference between the y7 dizzy and the y8 dizzy. Cause i could my hands on a y7 now but im not sure if it will work with the vtec head

y7 and y8 distributors are the same.
