How should a leather jacket fit?
I'm having a minor issue with my Pursuit jacket.
The sleeves are too long, as I stated in the previous thread. And when I get on the bike, the jacket rides up just a tad and bunches somewhat around the armpits.
It's a totally different experience than wearing a textile jacket, since the whole thing is just stiffer.
The sleeve issue kind of disappears when I get on the bike, but the bunching makes me a little nervous.
The catch is that the torso is pretty tight; I don't have that much room once I zip it up. To ship the thing back to the dealer is like 15 bucks; double that for shipping the new smaller size back to me. And if that doesn't fit...I'd shoot myself. Does anyone have anything to add here? Am I endangering myself or anything?
This is why buying online sucks.

what he said. The armor in the jacket, should not be moving around either, if it's moving around when your making small movements then if for some reason you crash test the jacket chances are the armor will not be able to do it's job. But you should still be able to move while still being comfortable. Noticed you said the waist area is tight, that's a good thing, the last thing you want is for the jacket to slide up and expose your bare skin if you go down.

It should be snug because the leather will break in over time and the stiffness will disappear. Have a camera to show the bunching up that your talking about?
It should be very snug at first and then it will stretch to your body shape. If its too big in the first place its only going to get bigger. When you're arms are slightly bent the elbow pads should be exactly at your elbows, otherwise in a crash it might not be where you want it to be. Bunching can be really bad too, it might grab some skin and pinch it or just burn right through in a crash since its not flat. Its hard to tell how well or bad it fits on you without seeing it. Thats why I always recommend trying on the exact thing you plan on buying at your local shops then ordering it online. Hopefully its not as bad as you think.
