Do you think that there still good used Type-R to buy ?
Well I own a nice Civic EJ with a pretty good turbo setup and sometimes my heart tell my that I want a more reliable/balanced car like the Type-r...
My father was racing with a guy that was the owner of a brand new Type-R with maximum 10 000km on it ( he was just using the car for the fun cuz he was really rich and could afford it ) but he sold the car to someone when I was like 17 years old ( now im 23 )
Now im like **** I should have JUMP on this car when he sold it !!!!! but when I was 16 I was really happy with my Civic...
Anyway who think that I would still able to find a nice and clean Type-R with low mileage on it ?

Absolutely. They pop up every now and then; stock, unmolested, or tasteful mods with meticulous upkeep and all records. Lots of folks here love their Rs.
Keep an eye out on here. When someone decides to sell, they usually post a link here to their classified thread.

I'm not sure how it is over in Quebec, however my understanding is that it is also a "hotspot" for Type-R's, Southern Ontario and Southwestern BC being the others.
Depending on what you define as low-mileage, they do pop up now and again on trader.ca. Of course you have to keep in mind, even the newest Type-R's are 4 years old now.
Personally, I think anything under 60-70k is "low mileage" these days, if you consider a 2001 ITR with 15-20k/yr. Though with the dollar the way it is these days, R's are quite a deal these days...
Of course, even so, I know of some garage queen R's and some that are meticulously maintained and in absolute pristine condition (so much that I'm embarassed everytime I park near them), *cough* Ravage00 *cough*, so perhaps they are some MINT ones lurking around...
With prices so low these days, you could probably pick up a new engine from honda and your wallet wouldn't be the wiser...

What does that have to do with anything??? There's so much more to a type-R than the engine.

There are plenty out there it's just a matter of how much patience you have. I remember a 97 a while back with less than 1000 mi on it. It really depends on how much you wanna spend. Good luck with the find. Update us if you get one.

Depending on what happens in the next few weeks/months, I may put my '97 back up for sale. While it may not be "Mint", it only has a few minor blemishes, and has only 42K miles on it.

Mine has 23,000 miles (2000 PY) and I'm gonna be selling mid-summer. This car is babied in every way shape and form. In answer to your question, yes, there are plenty of good used ITR's out there

lol, I just clicked over 28K in my FBP '00 too! The previous owner drove the car hard, but maintained it properly. There are no squeaks or rattles, despite the countless stiffer bushings on the car.
As for the thread starter:
Mine's for sale...once I get the new motor in.
Let me know.

I have a 2001 NBP, 23K miles, superb condition. It'll be for sale in the next few months, so just keep an eye out.

Thanks
... that's what I meant, that if he was that set on equaling (or better) his past dreams of an R with less than 10k on the ticker, that he could even still get a brand new engine from Honda and be worry free (at least about a suspect engine), even if he bought an high mileage R. I practically feel like getting myself a red tag B18C5 one of these days just in case... In fact I feel this way with almost every part of my R...
I wasn't suggesting for him just to drop a new B18C5 in his current car.
In any case, while R's are only getting more rare, you will see good ones around for sale, as you can see from the response you've already gotten from some members here. Though statistically, we canucks have a much smaller pool of R's to choose from
-fanboy, who sometimes wishes he could've gotten an extra R all sealed up with a sticker "do not open until 2021"...
