Thats what I meant, I know all parts come from japan but wanted to know is assembled in the us or japan.
The second was just an afterthought since I am thinking of getting the new rsx or a used prelude to replace my current 4th gen prelude.

All Hondas are not made in Japan. Why do you think Honda has invested over a billion dollars in the North American market alone with its factories in Ohio, Canada, and Alabama. In the Alabama plant they make both vehicles and engines. Honda has invested heavily in China as well, setting up a plant in southern China. They have a plant in Australia, a plant in Malaysia, Thailand, the list goes on and on. Don't forget the plant in Swindon, England where all the EP3 hatches are made, even the CTRs that are sold here in Japan.
In fact, some Hondas are more American than some of the American cars, which some are being built down in Mexico. To answer the original poster, the Integra/RSX is made in Japan.

have you test driven either car?
which rsx year/trim are you looking for?

yeah I drove the 5th gen prelude but have not driven the type s rsx that I want, I know it has more hp but I am concerned about the torque, my h23 prelude has 156 lb-ft @ 5300 rpm and I know the rsx you have to rev higher and has less...just wondering, I guess I just have to drive it and see how it feels to me.

get the rsx. the prelude is to heavy, even with a little more torque in the motor it's a heavy car. if you want a cruzer and don't car about being superfast a prelude is a nice car. But if you want something that is fast and responds well to mods, rsx is you answer.

yeah, weight is def an issue with the prelude.

RSX
so what year are you test driving?

And just to add to this user's post. The EP3 hatches are not 100% built in England, many parts of the EP3 are still made in Japan, just to clear any confusion in thinking the EP3 hatch is some kind of English domestic Civic.

Would you guys get a 5th gen used prelude or the rsx type s?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Honda has learned so much since the last Prelude days that it's really no contest.
You can complain about McPherson suspensions all you want, and in theory you would be correct...but the '05 RSX Type S is the clear winner, IMHO. No contest.

As a correction about the plant in Alliston... We used to build Odysseys, they have been moved to Alabama for the new model. Currently we are building Pilot, Ridgeline, MDX, Civic Sedan and Acura EL.
If I had a choice between the Rsx and Prelude I would pick the last gen Prelude hands down, at least from a suspension standpoint..The EP3 and DC5 suspension is so stupid that many of the suspension mfr's ie-hks, progress, jic etc are either dropping these cars from their product catalogs or stop r&d into improvements.. Nothing wrong with Macs but why you would attach the steering arm to the strut itself is friggin stupid and been a thorn in my side since day one
