Default 1991 honda civic si hatchback with jdm b16a 1st gen PROBLEMS, PLEASE HELP ME!

hey whats up

i drive a 1991 honda civic si hatchback with a jdm b16a 1st gen motor and ls trans

i need help so please do help

okay. so all winter/ beginning of summer my car has this weird idling problem where sometimes it will just die completely and i have to start the car again, also if i turn my idle down with the idle screw. my car stalls at stop signs/lights and what not. so i have to leave my idle screw almost all the way out and it idles about 1100-1200 rpms

okay so about 1 week ago my car starts sputtering and ******* up really bad and driving like absolute ****, so my engine light comes on and its throwing cel 9, which is cylinder positiong sensor, so i get a new dizzy, put taht on, take the old one off it seems like the coil melted so that dizzy is fucked, i change the dizzy out everything runs good up until about two nights ago

driving my car two nights ago for like 3 or 4 hours, then im sitting in a parking lot just idling my car anda ll the sudden the car just dies on its own, im like okay wtf,,, so i start it again and boom dies again right away, start it for a third time and it starts so i give it gas and get it to stay running, so i go to drive it a bit, code 3 comes on (map sensor) and the car is driving like absolute ****, like it looks like the car is hopping along it basically makes me look like i dont knwo how to drive standard, the car was burning super rich black smoke, and it smelt like gas really bad, so yesterday after work i head over to my buddies place and we replaced my map sensor with a working map sensor off a dx.

okay so last night ieverything is cool again for about 4 hours, driving normally whatever else its all running good, then again last night sitting in a parking lot idling and BOOM again it happens, car stalls right out, try to start it at least 30 times, nothing, it starts and dies right away, then i notice its throwing an engine light ot me again, i check the codes and im getting the following codes

3- map sensor
6- engine coolant temperature sensor
7- throttle position sensor
9- cylinder position sensor
10- intake air temperature sensor

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT, im in DESPERATE need to get my car running properly NOW

also im running a pr3 ecu obd0 spoon chipped with a socket.

I would first check all the wiring from the swap and make sure all grounds are connected and whatnot. Then I would swap out the ECU for a known working one to see if thats the issue.

When I first read your post about the idle issue, I thought you for sure wired your o2 sensors backwards. All of the other problems point to something a little more serious though. I pretty much got rid of my idle problems by wiring in my 2nd o2 sensor and cleaning out the IACV.

yea its just kinda weird though cuz the swap has been done for almost 2 years now,,, and its ran fine the whole time besides taht weird little idle problem over winter, buti thought it wasn't really anything to worry about, i think my 2nd o2 sensor is bypassed anyways. and im gonna try a diff ecu that i know works for a sec to try it

bump, help fix this car! any other ideas? i'd just say its kinda odd for all those sensors to go at the EXACT same time.

DX= Dpfi...2 injectors
SI, HF=Mpfi...4 injectors
Check the serial numbers on your old map sensor and see if they match up to the DX sensor.
