86 accord will not start!!!
ive got an 86 accord lxi here...we have done numerous things to try and get this car to start. one mechanic said change the MAP sensor, $200 down the drain. another said chainge the spark plugs and wires...another $40 down the drain. now i got another one telling me to change the distributor cap and rotor button. i need some serious help here and FAST!!!
problem:
car wont start. you can turn the key and the engine will try and try to turn over til the cow comes home...but will never kick completly over. the PGM-Fi light comes on when you finally do get the car to come on (after much pushing). what does this mean??? i got a friend who claims it means the cars computer is going bad but isnt that what i replaced when i changed the MAP sensor???
i need to know what is up wit this engine and i need to know ASAP. ANYONE...please let me know if you know the solution to this problem and the sooner i find out the HAPPIER ill be.

Okay, let's start with the basics and work our way forward.
Is it getting spark? Check for spark CAREFULLY by grounding your spark plug. Please search on the correct and SAFE way to do this.
Is it getting fuel? Once again search and find out how to do this correctly.
Is it getting air? This shouldn't be the problem.
Also, a MAP sensor is NOT your ECU. Totally different. Get as much info as you can and come back.

are you saying that you can push start it, but not start it with the key? If so, you're battery is drained. Recharge it so that you can diagnos it properly.
Then get the codes since you cel is on and post those here so that someone can help you.
