put in a different chip, my vtec is less lound, but hits harder!
I've been running a custom all motor chip program (p28) for sometime now....I wasn't sure the "all motor" program was suited for my set up. b20z/b16 stock bottom, upgraded valvetrain, stock gsr cams, b16 intake manifold, adj. FPR, H22 injectors....with that program, vtec was hitting "loud" at 5000 rpm, but NOT hard as it should. So I decided to go with a program Kenji suggested for my setup ..vtec engages at 5300 though...
I put that in..drove for awhile to warm it up...punching on it, I made a fews pulls down a dead street, and during all those runs, i felt my car pull noticeably harder then ever before...even my gf thinks my car is faster..but anyways, the chip did do some magic to my car...kenji's chip quiet down my vtec, i mean it doesn't scream as the custom all motor program did, but the fuel mapping/ignition timing was much better. Felt like i got an extra 20 horses lol

in my ls/vtec i have a gsr mugen ecu and the vtec is real loud but it doesnt hit that hard and one of my friends has the same motor pretty much with a chipped p28 ecu and the vtec hits real hard so would u suggest trying a new chip, switching ecu's or going to a stock ecu and getting it tuned with a vafc?
