aftermarket shocks - stock dust covers fit?
hey I just bought some kyb agx shocks, with eibach sportlines - to put on my 92 4ws vtec lude. I picked up some various OEM shock parts as well - like new mounting washers, bump stops (i know - i have to cut them anyways) etc. because I want to do the job right. I was just scratching my head tonight over the dustcovers tho ? are they transferable from the stock shocks? the area I live, can be dusty at times - so i'd rather not leave the shafts exposed... any advice appreciated. I know, it's probably blatantly obvious once you have things apart but since this is my primary vehicle - i'd prefer not to be stranded (and needing parts!) once the suspension is apart...
also, has anyone ever come across the proper ball joing seperator tool that is in the helms? (ref 18-13) is it a honda tool? cuz i've been to a bunch of different automotive shops and they only offer pickle forks (which i already have) and pitman arm puller style devices... i don't want to destroy the boot/ball joint when I seperate it from the rear.

I re-used the dust covers when I put my AGX / H&R Sport setup in my 5th Gen. You shoulnd't have any problems doing it either.
When I did that job I used a two jaw pulley puller that I found in my Dad's tool box to separate the ball joint from the upright. The pitman arm style puller should work fine too.

hey thanks for the responses guys... also if anyone knows what socket sizes will be required for the job, i'd appreciate any input... i have to pick up a few sockets for my impact gun - just wanna know what some common sizes are to grab.
