Default h22 6spd?

Now im not sure if this is complete BS but a guy i know was telling me about his 6spd tranny that he had for his h22, he said it had some special gears and such. Is there a aftermarket or OEM 6spd that is made for an h22 or is this guy just yanking my chain?

I'm pretty sure he's yanking your chain. From my understanding there isnt an adapter plate yet to mate up a K Series tranny to an H series motor or any other method.

Not that I know of... There is the rsx type s tranny but I belive it turns opposite of that of the h22. I would love that tranny on my car. Those gears are so short.
damit he got it first never mind /\/\/\/\

Also a 5 speed, as is the Euro-R tranny. We're just out of luck.

technically he could be right , the h22 does come with a 6 speed stock, just you didn't specify what direction you want to go , 1 2 3 4 5 R will all get you to different speeds at redline, so yeah its a 6 speed, lol

"The ETCC '416' version of the gearbox has recently been installed into the JAS Honda Accord in addition to the Private Honda Civics that run in the European Touring Car Championship."

Full snipplet here: http://www.xtrac.com/News%20Archive.htm

Xtrac Transmissions have been put on Accords and Preludes before. It is 6-Speed but by no means a bolt-on. However, it CAN BE DONE. It's also $$$$$.

PDF on this Transmisson.

They don't make a bell housing for the H22A on this $18,000 Tranny.

if you have $18k for a tranny, you can buy your way through that problem. Enough money will solve any car problem.

Hi

No Honda H22A appears to have been mated to a 6 speed transmission. I have checked the Japanese Torneo/Accord Type R Japansese auction sales data and all the CL1 chassis type R's have a 5 spped manual. The engine in these is essentially similar to the Red Top H22A as in the Prelude type S.
