I had bought this helmet about 2-3 weeks ago just because i liked it, and was planning on purchasing a bike soon...Well i just bought my bike on tuesday, and to my surprise i got 2 Icon helmets with the sale. The icon helmets match the bike perfectly, and i have decided if i can get close to what i payed for the Arai I will sell it.

I payed 419.99 for the helmet. I know i cant get exactly what i payed, but im entertaining offers.
The helmet was worn once just to see how it compared, and right now since i spent more than i wanted on the bike itself, the money is more important.

x2...I'd keep the Arai and ditch one or both of the ICONs. Your head will thank you...Arai comfort slays anything else out there.

In all honesty i didnt feel that much of a diffrence

 

No doubt the arai is a more quality helmet in all ways.
But, the Icon was used, it wont catch much resale.
But, its not like the Icon isnt still a well made, quality helmet.

 

i heard icon = hjc ?? dunno if it's true, but i personally would never trust my skull in an HJC helmet. but like half the guys here will tell you otherwise. whatever floats your boat though, i don't want to start another cheap vs. expensive helmet debate.
heh... reminds me of an arai ad that i saw the other day, something like "why are some helmets cheaper than arai? because they're cheap." i'm a shoei guy myself though.

Is that a joke? Arai and Icon deff. aren't on the same level...Just because they both "pass the test" doesn't mean they're equal in any way, shape or form.
