HELP!!! Built GE block....No cranking COMPRESSION!!!
EDIT: ALWAYS break in your motor before you take it to a tuner...and if a "Carb" tuner gives you a dyno on a motor that is FRESH....doubt it Seriously.

builder of the motor said it was next to impossible but we are checking that currently. #1 and 2 looks good so far.
Any other ideas?

The motor sounds like it doesnt have any comp. After the cam gear fix it sounded better but Crescent is testing his motor right now to see if the tester is KO...all cylinders are fine...
This sucks...

uh oh!
try the 1tsp oil in each cyl trick... see if it is head or ring related..
maybe it's 5:1 CR... hehe... run 40lbs boost on 87octane

The thing is is that the Comp is close all across....hmmm.. Don't know....
Rings have to be good...2% leak down in ALL cyl.

Seems like it must be cam->crank timing related to me then! Can you get 16deg timing with the typical distributor position?
Well, I don't know...but I just looked over and Crescent is pulling the motor apart so I guess we'll find out whats wrong.
LOL..........AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHh..this sucks...

if leakdown is good, doesn't that mean the valves have to be sealed at the time of testing?
so they are not bent, just opening and closing at the wrong time, aka timing is off....

I'm willing to bet the valve lash was completely off.

doesn't leak down only test ring sealing at the very top or very bottom of the bore, so if your cylinders were ( ) shaped then you could be getting no compression until the top half of the stroke, just throwing some ideas out, also if the timing belt slipped a couple teeth it is quite possible it bent some valves, despite what the engine builder says , you would have to have some awefullly deep valve releifs to make it a none interference

Nope it isn't. It's set to spec or atleast was when I did the compression test.

Wow ... Hmmm ... Let us know what you all find when the motor is apart.

If you really have a 2% leakdown, the problem would have to be in cam phasing/timing or all your cam lobes have gone flat.
