Which video is this from? I'd like to get a copy.

Also, somewhat disappointed that they were all modded. I'd like to see stock vs. stock.

I think it was on bestmotoring. The very beginning when they are showing the specs on the cars they have this little stick with a pointing hand on the end, that is hilarious.

Don't get too excited about the video. You've got to take a look at all the factors.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by DC5RK20A &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Mine is not refined really and feels quite raw to me. Driving my friends DC2R with an aftermarket suspension, mine was/is now kinda still stock, his did feel better at initial turn-in, but overall I prefered my ride. Power delivery is just so much better from the K20 over the B18. I took him out on the gymkana course and he was very impressed with the 5s handling.

Yes Honda did in a way take a step backwards with the front sus setup, it does have it's limits to some extent, but if it is tuned properly, one would not really tell the difference. And if you look at BTCC this year, Honda pulled out, but the first race was won by a privateer team (Halfords) and they are using a DC5R.

And yes that video was to show how a basically stock DC5R would do up against a heavily modified DC2R. That video was made just a month after the DC5Rs release. All that was done, was S tires, early suspension(no time for development) and an exhaust. The DC2s were pretty much gutted, prepped engines, completely tuned suspensions, S tires, pretty much the works. If you look at it from that perspective, the 5 actually did quite well against the 2.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Have you read Æsop's fable called The Fox and the Grapes?

[edit to add link/summary]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sour_grapes
The Fox and the Grapes is one of Aesop's fables. A fox sees grapes hanging from a vine high up and out of his reach. After expending a great deal of time and effort trying to find a way to reach the grapes, his is ultimately unsuccessful. He is so bitter over his failure that he then mutters (trying to convince himself) that the grapes were most likely sour, so he never really wanted them anyway.

The English phrase sour grapes means the denial of desireability of something that one failed to acquire.

I don't know where you were going with that, but...

I wasn't saying that I now despise the DC2. Just simply stating that video wasn't really a good comparison. Would I like to get a DC5R? Yeah, I would, but I also would like an Exige, NSX, and tons of other cars over the DC5 and the DC2. I LOVE my car and am very grateful for a chance of having owned it( and probably will till I run it to the ground...or stolen ) But, I also have future goals. What do you think it was that got me my DC2R?

Since it's nearly impossible to get a DC5R in the states, people in the US are going to say DC2R is better.

The fox couldn't reach the grapes, and concludes to himself "they were probably sour anyway".
