Default Contemplating EG/EJ1 need to be pushed over the edge.

OK so, I really want an EK hatch, but I can't afford or find one.

So the next best thing is an EG, which is still great. Why the EG? OBD1, errthing swaps in, light, looks. (not in that particular order)

I really want: Moonroof(especially the ones on Si/EX models aka flip and slide), VTEC(even sohc, I want to sohc-t and get a turbo kit, like the greddy or edelbrock)
power windows and locks is nice too. AC and PS is nice(can't get it on all the hatches), rear discs(for simplicities sake and looks) and ABS(I don't know if it's standard on EX coupes)

So, my question is should I go w/ a hatch or EX coupe. Hatches are pretty rare in my neck of the woods, especially unrusted ones. And w/ a hatch, I love the looks and cargo(even though I never carry much, it's nice to know you have in case), and the weight is nice, but I lose out on creature comforts which I like also.

IF I get a hatch I rather it be Si or VX for the vtec. Put w/ all hatches (except Si) I"ll eventually want to go rear disc. Plus I really want a moonroof it's cool. I can't find an Si hatch, which would be a no brainer and I wouldn't be asking for help.

Should I just go w/ an EX coupe?

Get the EX coupe. You won't regret it! Better yet, buy mine!

Honestly though, if you're thinking about selling it in the long run, I'd go with the EK just because the value of the car might be higher compared to an older EX, even though it has more options.

If you really don't care, I'd get the EX coupe. It's an overall, better car for us enthusiasts (sp?)... I dunno..

i agree, get the hatch, the Si hatch if possible. they're a rare breed, but if you keep looking, one will eventually come up.

The Si seems to be exactly what you want: SOHC VTEC, sunroof, rear disc brakes, and aesthetic appeal. Just be prepared to pay out for one.
