All who have traction bars please chime in .
Hello Honda People.
I finished installing my Traction bars and I have a question for all you guys who have traction bars.
Are the rods needs to be set the same length ???
Because I set mine the same length and one came tighter than the other
Help please
Thanks
Marlon

Rob, hows autocross and track events of that nature w/ the bars on? I thought they were for drag cars only? Am thinking about getting them due to my serious issuse w/ wheel hop but don't want to take away the handling.....
I've had the z10 setup for 3 years. It took care of my wheel hop issue (I drag)
I usually set the bars between 3 and 5 turns "toe in" then test drive it, and if it pulls to one side, or another, then I tweak whichever side needs it. I don't know if toe in is advantageous in road racing, but it seems to work very well for dragging.

They only made the caR feel more solid. I don't put that many turns on them, just enough to put slight tension then I went for the wheel alignment.
I would put them on if you having issues with hop, they won't bother your handling.

yes they should be same length, Same amount of threads left on each side.
If not one side might pull a little.
They help wheel hop a little I guess, but i didnt notice the change until i did some more susp work and mounts and the bars.

I had the first set of lakewood Ti traction bars on my car.
I think you might have the only other set (as of a year ago no one was buying the Ti ones at all)
Yes the bars should be the same lenght. If they are not take the bars off, turn both of the end links all the way in. The make sure neither end link moves while you turn the bar to loosen the endlinks. This will ensure that you have the same amount of threads on either end.
Reinstall them on you car.
There was a step/picture in the directions that is incorrect. If you could scan and post them I could tell you what it was...............................but i really can't remember. I installed them over 2 years ago and don't own the car anymore.
Here is a picture with the engine out.
