Default Oil in intake(not your normal consumtion)

please dont flame at me, its not your normal "after time there will be oil in the intake" im talking about large amounts of oil. because right now my intake is consuming a LOT of oil into the intake to the point where my HKS filter becomes drenched in oil in abut a few hours of driving (drenched from the bottom) when i take off the tube that goes from the crank case to the intake there is a LOT of vapor spewing out.. what could be the problem of this? has anyone experanced this problem?

-Tom

It sounds like you are having a problem with your crankcase ventilation system. If you are getting that much oil in your intake then I would check to make sure you have the correct oil amount in your motor. Also, have you checked the intake manifold to see if it is full of oil too?

Check your PCV valve or just replace it (they're like $3). You can squeeze the hose that is attached to the valve, if you hear it click shut then it works. Also make sure you don't have any vaccuum leaks.

Might check your compression if you're that ambitious and worried.

Here is a great diy for a catch can which can prevent oil going from your pcv into your intake manifold.

http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/sh...catch

I would replace your pcv valve and go from there like others have suggested .

Yea I did mine like 2-3 months ago and thus far have accumulated 2 full things of oil from the catch can; just to think all that WAS going into my intake manifold is enough to keep you up at night .

It was very cheap as you can see too and it's a huge preventative thing for almost any car .

yea sorry man, i'm just wound up and ready to get the hell out of school for the summer!

Awesome write up!, I might have to yank some parts off of an old air compressor. Something tells me a cheap **** like myself might be able to weld something up as well, long as its airtight it shouldn't matter.

it is not your balancer shaft seal if those leak you have an outer leak that can be noticed at lower timing belt cover not oil in the intake...silly question and not questioning your intelligence you chk oil to make sure it is not overfilled right? could be your valve seals leaking
