Default b16 integra, pr3 ecu, wideband, target a/f ratio??

The plugs in my car indicate its been running lean. I recently put a vtec controller on the car to be able to modify fuel. I'm going to borrow a friend's widband o2 sensor to get an accurate reading. I'm attempting to make sure I'm not running lean at WOT.

I'd like some suggestions for a target a/f ratio.

Does anyone know what a b16a with pr3 is intended to run from the factory for a/f ratio?

car is a 91 ls, b16a, ls trans, i/h/e.

get on a dyno already! see what makes power. if you don't like that idea, then shoot for 13.2-13.7. anywhere in there should be fine, although you'll never know what performs best.

I'm basically asking for a number to shoot for that would be rich *enough* to be safe for WOT.

thanks 95ls

with that setup, 12.9-13.1 reason being b16's are known for alittle leaning out when vtec engages.. hehe.. just my thought and i've been tuning with a friend for quite some time..

heck, i ran my LS at 12:1 for a while. it liked it. but i prefer to keep it much more normal.

Thanks for the help..

The b16 I have seems to pull harder at higher rpm than most b16's, like it doesn't lose power above stock peak torque rpm. It pulls hard all the way to 8200, which suggests some kind of cams.. That should definitely affect what I'm trying to shoot toward..

yeah, the beauty with the vtec controller is that you can tune each 1000 rpm, so I'm running +2% at 0-4K, +14 at 4-5K, and +20 the rest of the way up. Seems to run best this way.

yeah, it seems to me that running rich, worst case scenario would be you have to replace or clean off your plugs more often..

nope. no plug cleaning. it burned all of it just fine. thing is, i haven't upped compression from my stock LS block yet, and i'm running large cams that resemble a good VTEC cam. running large cams is like lowering your compression. i took the time and calculated my dynamic compression ratio, or what my c/r with big cams actually is, not just the size of the piston. static c/r is still 9.2:1, but dynamic (actual c/r) is about 8.6:1. i think this greatly affects tuning. i may advance my ignition timing like 4 degrees and see if that has a great effect until i can put some proper pistons in there.

BTW, you'll need a dyno to find out where to set VTEC at. hehe, my "vtec" kicks in at like -50rpm.
