Default JDM F22B into a 93 Accord...what else do i need.

Ok, after finding out my head gasket is blown, I got quotes from many mechanics and they wanna charge me 600-800 bucks to fix the car. Considering my Accord has 237K miles on it and has a head gasket replaced about 30K miles ago, i just dont see how this is worth it.

So Ive decided to pick up a JDM F22b DOHC lude engine. From what I gather, this engine should bolt right into my car. My question is will my ECU recognize it, or will i need a new one. Again from what Ive heard the ECU just needs a lil rewiring, but it should be fine.

Also, will headers designed for F22A1 powered Accords bolt up to the F22B?

wow 600 is a rip for a head gasket and its fairly easy, just you need to get it resurfaced.

f22a and h23 headers will fit a f22b dohc, but if i had one of those motors id have a dsm manifold w/ a 14b turbo.

p39 or p14(h23)ecu will plug right in and work fine.

Didn't we just say that? Anyways, the proper ECU should come with the swap. If you want to sell your ECU go to the classifieds.

I'm looking for a p39 ecu for my jdm f22b. I have the p14 but I don't feel like its quite right for my motor.

WTB: p39 jdm f22b ecu

FS: p14 h23 ecu
