Here's an update as of 9-12-05...




Just got my windows tinted. 20% all around(cept windshield of course)....

I think it looks great... And I think it'll be even better when I get my fat fives in the mail and powder coat them hyper black.

No, I'm not ugly... But just because its not JDM, doesnt mean I wont do it.

And second... I just bought tokico illuminas and ground control coilovers.... So know the situation before you talk asshat.

 

I don't like it. Looks a lot cleaner without the tint but since it actually serves a purpose to protect your interior

 

Oh yea.... And another reason besides looks/comfort was the fact that bitches broke in and stole my **** just the other week so... Maybe if they cant see whats inside.... they wont take it?

I agree.

I actually had 20% on my old eg that I had. I liked it at first, but grew to hate it. I don't know about you, but at night, I couldn't see anything. I kept having to roll the window down.

I can see just like normal with the exception of the rear view mirrors... Which is a little more difficult.

It's alright, doesn't match the color of your car like the way I'd want it too.

They will be coming in the mail next week. I paid for them Saturday...

What's the lowest % of tint possible?

 

i dont like any tint, if you even care what i think

but if your in a hot state and it keeps the sun off you, thats good i guess.

but then again your talking to a guy who took his A/C out...... and YES it does get hot in oregon

Usually its 5% but you can do more than one layer of tint.

Depends where you live. Personally looks wise it doesn't look good on light colored cars IMO. But if I lived in Phoenix, Az, hell yeah I'd get tint.

actually tint does the exact opposite...

1) thief looks for cars with tint because it means there could be something to hide, and usually hooked up cars have tint.

2) tint makes for a much easier break in. you can quietly pop the window with a piece of porclin like from a sparkplug. the glass would normally shatter and fall all over the ground making noise but tint holds it all together nice and quiet.
all he has to do is push in the shattered tinted window in with his foot.

but I like the way it looks
plus you can get BJ's on the highway with no worries...
