Got slicks mounted on Bogarts. Balancing??
So today I got my Bogarts in and took them to a shop to get my slicks mounted on them. When we balanced them it took alot of weights to get it to zero out. Is this normal?? We used stick on weight on the inside and outside, and the wheels are brand new. I know you can change it to static and some other types, which one is the one I should use. Thanx alot..
i use aluminum setting 7 (1weight on the inside lip) on my machine at work. My bogarts (skinnies) took .25 - .5 to balance out.. and what do u consider "alot of weight"

It probably took like 2.25 on the outside and like 1.75 on the inside, im gonna change the setting on the machine and redo them tomorrow.

You have nothing to worry about anothaRRR, that is normal.
Good Luck.

i dont balance any of my slicks because they are bias ply tires and will get "flat" spots on them from sittin with weight on them. my car is on jackstands right now as a matter of fact.

Use stick-on weights and then put duct tape on top of it</TD></TR></TABLE>
We used stick on weights and had some wide chrome tape so thats what we used to tape the weights down. Thanx guys.
