JDM .v. USDM ECU's?
Other that the performance advantage for the JDM ECU, is it okay for me to run a p30 JDM ecu with a Skunk2 chip on my ls/vtec set up?
It is also socketed, does this mean that if I want to change my program from Skunk2 to Jun or something like that, that I can? And my ecu would need to be socketed to run a program like hondata correct?

Well if it's anything like my friend's JDM ITR ecu, it has the VTEC switch built into the ECU, because the JDM ITR engine does not have the VTEC switch on the engine head like USDM cars do. Also the JDM ECU will have a speed limiter of something like 180 kph

I'm not sure... if the VTEC switch is built in, then it may not interface with the USDM VTEC setup. It might require a JDM VTEC solenoid. I don't know for sure though.
But why a JDM ECU? Anything that ECU can do, a chipped P28 can surely do and probably more, and there will be no problems wiring up VTEC or having a speed limiter or anything like that.
